đŸ‘âƒ€ Sure there's a huge nod to Sabbath going on, as many have stated. There's also a little southern flavor, ala Black Label Society and a smudge of Alice in Chains in some of the vocal harmonies. Favorite track: Shades of Grey.

Lute FP Wow, this is good. Not sure how it escaped the usual suspects here on BC.

In their own words it’s Sabbath worship, but I hear a lot of other influences, too- Candlemass, Pentagram, and other stuff.

The songwriting and production are flawless, the vocals are stellar, the guitars shred, and if this is a solo effort as it appears, I don’t feel like it’s self-indulgent or noodly as so many one-man bands are wont to do.

I could nitpick that the rhythms are a bit repetitive within each song and the drums are a bit tinny, but these are minor complaints.

This is killer doom metal and stands solidly on its own merits. Check it out!

ascensionofheroes This album is a must have if you are a fan of Sabbath or Jeff Clayton or just good music in general. As for me, I am all three so it was the perfect soundtrack to my spring cleaning today. Favorite track: Shades of Grey.

Andy Heuer This is really, really good! It's exciting to hear original music from Jeff for the first time in ages. The guitar work is tremendous, as expected, but the vocals, lyrics and overall production are equally solid. For fans of Black Sabbath -- and metal in general. Buy it!

about

My love for Bowie is strong and it grows stronger with every song we re-create, BUT! My first love was Sabbath. This is an album that I did a couple years ago that was a bit of a love letter to the Godfathers of metal. If you like it, download it, put on a fringe jacket and rock out. -Jeff....
